Wow, so I really haven't been posting, have I? I can't even use the excuse that I've been studying, because I haven't. My class started a week and a half ago, and I still haven't started. Thank goodness it's self paced. I was going to start sending Carlee to a friend's at home day care 1 - 2 times a week for a few hours so that I can study. I kept putting off the decision, until I realized (while I was reading my text book in the middle of making dinner) that, yeah, this really wasn't going to work. hah. Today was supposed to be her first day, but now she's sick. Awesome.
I went to a Women's Bible Study last night. It was the first religious thing I've done in years. Last night was just the introduction and get to know each other day, and learn how the study is going to go. I'm really excited about it. Ever since I can remember, I've always been about self improvement. What could I be doing better? What can I do to be a better person? etc. Always working on the next thing. And right now, I'm so happy with myself except for two areas: spirituality and fitness.
For fitness, I am starting to work out again. I'm not trying to lose weight, I'm doing the opposite in fact. I want to gain weight, in muscle anyway. :) I've also started going back to pilates, which I'm loving. And I want to start running again. Last fall I was finally able to run a mile without stopping (which was a HUGE goal accomplished for me) and now I'm afraid I wouldn't make it to the end of my driveway. So, I hope to start working on that soon as well.
I'm also really excited about getting more active in the AR area. My friend G and I were talking about somehow showing a screening of I Am An Animal on base. She made a few calls and we've got a representative talking about it at a meeting today, to see if we'll be able to show it at the main base's theater. Which would be freakin awesome. It was a great documentary, and it was done by HBO so it's not biased or anything. Just the facts (good and what some think as bad) about Peta, Ingrid, and the animal rights movement. It doesn't just cover food animals either, but pets, and lab animals as well. It was a really good and informative documentary. Everyone could learn from it, whether they're for Peta or against it.
So I guess these are sort of my new year's resolutions. Kinda. But then again, I've constantly got new resolutions to accomplish. That's just how I am. :)

I think this is a great list of things to work for in the new year! Good luck on them all!
How do you like Sicily? We really want to get down there for a visit. I saw that we used to live near each other (jax and st. aug)!
Thanks! Yeah, when I first stopped by your blog, I noticed that too! :) I loved St. Augustine. Sicily is beautiful, there's so much history and ruins, it's amazing. There are some bad things (just like everywhere has), like a lot of places are trashed and have graffiti, and it gets really hot during July & August, but if you just take everything in, it's really nice. For us though, we live in military housing, so sometimes I wish we could just live on the economy, and actually get into the culture. But I've really enjoyed living here. :)
