Crocs spending Earth Day in the Wildflowers

Yesterday, my friend Angie called me and said, "It's a gorgeous day! The haze has finally lifted!" (We'd been waiting for that to happen....) "Do you want to go for a drive?" I thought about it for a few minutes, debating (because I thought it was closer to lunchtime than it actually was.) When I finally noticed the time, I happily agreed.

It was such a great way to spend Earth Day, to notice the little beautiful things... even in wildflowers (what some would call weeds,) on the side of the road. Here are my favorite pictures. I am not really great at landscapes, so I only have a few that made my cut (in no particular order.)

She was scared of bugs, but there were none, it was just the flowers....
What happened to my nature baby?

This one is my favorite ^

these are beautiful! I just am in love with the red poppies! I've been trying to get a photo of the fields around here, but haven't had a good opportunity yet!

Very nice :) I really like #'s 2, 4 & 9. And poor Carlee with the "bugs" attacking her! haha I got a similar one of her in the poppy field, but she doesn't look quite as unhappy. :) We need to get out and explore the back roads more often!

Those pictures are awesome and look like postcards! I love the field with the house and the tree all alone in the field. I love the crocs :) They are the most comfortable things arent they?

Sheena,
I love the shot of the feet and the flowers. I also think the one of Carlee upset is priceless. When she gets older (teens) she's going to hate it when you show that picture.

Erin - thanks! Hope you get the chance to snap some photos soon!

Angela - thanks I had a blast, we really should get out more. We need to plan some daytrips... :)

Reese - Aw postcards? lol You're too nice. I love my Crocs. I just convinced myself to buy them, and I don't regret it for a second. Soooo comfortable!

Figcharlie - thanks, and yeah there's still grass for a bit... in a few months, it will be brown, and most of the fields will be burning...

Robin - Those two are my absolute favorites too! :D I feel the picture of the shoes in the flowers just really shows my connection with Carlee. That will be a good memory. I almost felt bad for snapping a picture before running to comfort her when she got scared, LOL, but I just HAD to! hehe.

Thanks for the compliments everyone! :D
